Custom Ravioli Figurine for Promotional Giveaway

Our team was presented with a unique and delightful project: to design and 3D print a custom ravioli figurine, playfully holding a glass of wine and standing on a platform with the slogan “Let’s Get Sauced.” This commission was for a client intending to give away these models to their customers. The task involved capturing the whimsical essence of the concept while ensuring the figurine’s appeal and functionality as a promotional item. The initial challenge was to effectively translate the client’s vision into an actionable design. This required a deep understanding of their expectations and creative direction. Creating initial sketches demanded a balance between artistic flair and practical design considerations, ensuring that the final product would be both attractive and suitable for 3D printing.

Another complexity was modeling the figurine in Zbrush software, which needed meticulous attention to detail, especially for features like the ravioli texture and the wine glass. The model had to be appealing at a glance and resonate with the playful theme of the campaign. Additionally, ensuring that the design was feasible for 3D printing using Bambu Lab X1C and P1S printers added a technical dimension to the challenge. It was essential that the model was structurally sound and could be reliably replicated 150 times without loss of detail or quality.
